Armed Robbery at Bulawayo Bar: Police Launch Investigation

Police in Bulawayo are investigating an armed robbery that took place at a local bar at the corner of 13th Avenue and R Mugabe Way on 13 May 2025.
Three unidentified suspects reportedly held staff hostage while they were counting the day’s cash takings, before fleeing with USD 4,300.
Authorities responded swiftly, mobilising relevant teams, but the suspects had already fled the scene.
Meanwhile, the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has confirmed the arrest of suspects linked to other armed robbery incidents in Cowdray Park, Makokoba, Nkulumane, and nearby suburbs, where machetes and other weapons were used in attacks. More details are expected as investigations continue.
