Police Investigate Mvurwi $14,000 Robbery

Police in Mvurwi are investigating a robbery case after three suspects in a black Toyota Probox intercepted a Honda Fit Hybrid vehicle on GMB Road near Mbizi Location Turn-off on 14 March. The assailants rammed the victim’s car, stole a handbag containing US$14,100, an EcoCash debit card, and an InnBucks Visa card. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact their nearest police station.
Meanwhile, in Mutare, three suspects were arrested for theft after allegedly stealing US$25,000 from a Chikanga resident. Munyaradzi Madzure (39) and two 16-year-old juveniles reportedly used the stolen funds to purchase a Honda Fit vehicle and three iPhones. Police have recovered the items.
In a separate Mutare incident, Dylan Mudia (26) and Athell Mukondyo (23) were arrested for murder after allegedly assaulting Ryan Zindi with a hoe handle, accusing him of stealing car keys and a phone. Zindi was pronounced dead at Victoria Chitepo Hospital.
Police in Kwekwe are seeking Kenias Mapfumo, Armstrong Marumahoko, and Mathias Tatenda Dhlamini for the murder of Shepherd Mavhangira (45) at Mushange Business Centre, Zhombe, on 13 March. The suspects allegedly struck Mavhangira with bricks after he intervened in a dispute at a bar.
