A 35-year-old angry mother killed her nine-year-old daughter by beating her after she took mealie meal and cooking oil to play house (mahumbwe), Bindura Eye has been informed.
Sinalence Kufandirori from Shamva is in trouble for allegedly beating her nine-year-old daughter to death accusing her of using cooking oil and mealie meal to play house.
Kufandirori, of Maxton Farm, was arrested on Saturday for allegedly beating her nine-year-old daughter Ropafadzo Meki to death using an electric cable.
The 9-year-old child, who met her death at the hands of her mother, took mealie meal and cooking oil to play mahumbwe resulting in her mother beating her up with an electric cable.
ZRP National Spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident and implored the public to respect human sanctity.
“We have a sad incident that occurred in Shamva where a 35-year-old woman Sinalence Kufandirori beat her 9-year-old daughter to death accusing her of using cooking oil and mealie meal to play Mahumbwe on the 3rd of this month at Maxton Farm. This is so sad so as the Police we want to implore the public to respect the sacredness of human life,” he said.
Legislators have also raised alarm over the increase in murder cases countrywide calling for stiffer penalties on perpetrators.
