Zimbabwe is among the first countries where Starlink introduced an instalment option for purchasing the Mini Kit.

Here are the two options available:
- Pay for the Starlink Mini Kit over 6 months at $25 per month.
- Pay for the Starlink Mini Kit over 9 months at $16.67 monthly.
In both cases, you will need to pay a deposit of $50.
Since Starlink charges a $23 delivery fee, the initial payment to obtain your Starlink Mini Kit is reduced from $223 ($200 for the kit + $23 delivery charge) to just $73 ($50 deposit + $23 delivery charge).
Starlink is not charging interest on the instalments. How sweet can the deal get?
This significant reduction will allow many Zimbabweans to access the service, especially for us here in Mashonaland Central. This is a welcome development.

Once the kit is in Zimbabwe, users must pay a monthly subscription fee of at least $30 in addition to the instalment.
If you opt for the 9-month option, this will mean a total monthly payment of $46.67.
While Harare, its surrounding towns, and parts of Bulawayo remain sold out, Zimbabweans in other regions can still purchase Starlink.
To buy Starlink:
- Visit the starlink.com website and click on “order now.”
- Enter your address and complete the order on the following page.
You can make payment directly on the website using a prepaid Mastercard or Visa. You can obtain a virtual Mastercard via EcoCash or OMari to make the payment.
Due to the new instalment option, you can pay just $73 initially. Considering bank charges, it’s best to have about $90 in your EcoCash or preferred prepaid debit card.
If you have relatives in the diaspora with access to a credit card, they can also make the purchase for you.
