Temba Mliswa Elected Chairperson of APNAC SADC Chapter

Former Zanu PF Mashonaland West chairperson and ex-Norton legislator, Temba Mliswa, has been elected as the inaugural African Parliamentarians Network Against Corruption (APNAC), Southern Africa Development Committee (SADC) Chapter chairperson.

The elections took place in Lusaka, Zambia during an APNAC conference on Thursday. Mliswa expressed his gratitude on social media, saying, “I have been voted for to be the new and inaugural chairperson for APNAC SADC Chapter for the next four years. History has been made as this is the first APNAC Chapter and I am the first to lead it. I am truly humbled by such recognition of my efforts and work.”

Mliswa also thanked his ancestors and the Zimbabwean Parliament for their support in his journey towards fighting corruption. He emphasized the importance of African legislators coming together to combat corruption at all levels. As the new chairperson of the APNAC SADC Chapter, Mliswa urged former members of Parliament from Zimbabwe to join in this crucial initiative.

The conference also saw the election of other key members including Zambian National Assembly Deputy Speaker Hon. Chisangano and APNAC President HE Louis Vlavonou. The Zimbabwean delegation included Chief Chikwaka, Hon. Mushoriwa, Angelina Gutu, and Admore Nyamuramba.
