Bethel FC and Takawira FC have set up a Pool A final in the ZIFA Midlands Province Division 2 Munhumutapa Challenge Cup after progressing through a series of knockout matches.
Bethel FC opened their campaign with a win over Shurugwi Legends FC. Zialanda FC also moved forward after beating TMZ FC, before Bethel FC stopped Zialanda FC in the next round to book their place in the later stages.
On the other side of the draw, Chiponjeka FC advanced by overcoming Sheasham Academy, while Takawira FC reached the next round after defeating St Faith’s FC. Takawira then maintained their momentum by eliminating Chiponjeka FC to seal a decisive meeting with Bethel FC.
The final will decide which team tops Pool A and qualifies for the Munhumutapa Challenge Cup round-robin stage. Both Bethel FC and Takawira FC have shown consistency across their fixtures, setting the stage for one of the competition’s most closely watched matches in the Midlands Province Division 2 calendar.
