TN CyberTech Investments Holdings Limited (TNCIH) says it will intensify its digital-first banking strategy in FY2026 through strategic partnerships, digital innovation and wider market participation, as the group seeks to improve operational efficiency and expand financial inclusion.

In a trading update for the quarter ended March 31, 2026, TNCIH said it will continue executing its “hyper-integration” strategy, anchored on automated technologies, artificial intelligence and extensive digital networks designed to reduce reliance on traditional, face-to-face banking interactions.

The group said the strategy is being supported by a stronger balance sheet, with total assets closing the first quarter at ZiG7.2 billion, driven by a 23% increase in earning assets.

TNCIH said it remains focused on strengthening its digital-first operating model while supporting productive sectors of the economy, particularly agriculture and small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs), which are key drivers of jobs and local economic activity.

“The group will continue to execute its hyper integration strategy through strategic partnerships, digital innovation and expanded market participation,” TNCIH said.

It said initiatives being implemented include the rollout of self-service kiosks, interactive teller machines and the development of an integrated cyber centre ecosystem, which it said is aimed at improving accessibility, customer convenience and financial inclusion.

TNCIH’s banking subsidiary, TN CyberTech Bank Limited, remained adequately capitalised during the period, recording a capital adequacy ratio of 36.71%, which is above the regulatory minimum requirement of 12%.

The group said the capital position places the bank to pursue sustainable growth while maintaining prudent risk management practices.

“Supported by a strong capital base, improving macroeconomic stability and continued investment in digital capabilities, the group remains well positioned to sustain growth, strengthen its competitive positioning and deliver long-term value to shareholders,” TNCIH said.

TNCyberTech said its first-quarter performance was supported by rising customer activity across digital channels, growth in interest-earning assets and continued execution of its strategic initiatives.

Revenue for the quarter rose 23% to ZiG263 million compared with the same period last year, while the cost-to-income ratio improved to 64% from 70%, which the group said reflected improved efficiencies and disciplined cost management.

Looking ahead, the group said the domestic economic outlook for 2026 remains positive, supported by improving activity in key productive sectors. However, it cautioned that the operating environment still presents challenges, including high levels of informality, shifting customer preferences and growing demand for technology-driven financial services.
