Zimbabwe envoy Victor Matemadanda dies, Mangwana confirms

Zimbabwe’s Ambassador to Mozambique and the Kingdom of Eswatini, Dr Victor Matemadanda, has died.
The announcement was made on Sunday by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Mr Nick Mangwana, in a post on X.
Mr Mangwana said the diplomat “passed away last night”, describing the death as “a deeply saddening loss”.
In his message, Mr Mangwana added that Dr Matemadanda “served as Zimbabwe’s Ambassador to the Republic of Mozambique and the Kingdom of Eswatini”.
He also conveyed condolences “to His Excellency the President, whom he represented with dedication, and to his family, friends, colleagues and the nation at large”.
No further details, including the cause of death and funeral arrangements, were immediately provided in the statement.
