ZRP arrest three on Beitbridge-Bulawayo road with 120kg dagga haul

Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) say they have arrested three suspects on allegations of drug trafficking after a dagga seizure along the Beitbridge-Bulawayo Road.
Police identified the suspects as a foreign national, Mthokozisi Patrick Hlophe (46), Tapiwa Dube (38) and Dalubuhle Sibanda (41). The arrests were made at the 60km peg on the Beitbridge-Bulawayo highway, according to the ZRP.
The ZRP said the three were found in possession of 120.244 kilogrammes of dagga while travelling in a Nissan Hardbody Double Cab with registration number XVD354GH.
Police did not immediately provide further details on where the consignment was allegedly coming from or destined for, or when the suspects are expected to appear in court.
The ZRP reiterated its stance against drug and substance smuggling, peddling and trafficking.
