The Bethsaida Apostolic Church is facing scrutiny after allegations emerged that some members targeted the widow of the late Archbishop Manhango in the period following his death, with claims of manipulation raised by community sources familiar with the matter.

Tsitsi Marume Manhango (52) is said to still be mourning her husband, a prominent church leader who died after an illness, while trying to rebuild her life.

Multiple accounts gathered by this publication allege that the widow’s grief was compounded by efforts within the congregation to influence her decisions and circumstances. Community members claim the situation escalated when a married church member allegedly began pursuing Tsitsi under the guise of offering support and spiritual guidance.

Witnesses further allege that an elder suggested some of Tsitsi’s children be removed from the family home in Greystone Park. Sympathisers of the widow reportedly view the suggestion as part of a broader attempt to gain control over her household arrangements.
