Award-winning Zimbabwean acapella group Firm Faith marked 20 years of ministry on Saturday with a major anniversary concert at the Hippodrome Amphitheatre in Harare, organisers said.
According to the event report, the celebration drew a full house and was described as one of the largest Seventh Day Adventist-affiliated music gatherings outside the annual Celestial Celebrations.
The evening featured a red-carpet arrival and performances by several supporting acts before Firm Faith took to the stage. Acapella group Shower Power made a surprise appearance during the warm-up, while master of ceremonies Ms Becky kept the programme moving.
Singer Sharon Manyonganise Cherai also performed ahead of the headliners and received a standing ovation, the report said.
Firm Faith appeared in coordinated stage wear, with female members in green and male members in black suits and white gloves. Midway through their set, the group introduced beatboxer Probeats for a segment that included a semi-gospel hip-hop track.
The group’s setlist included songs such as “Ngena Noah”, “Gare Gare” and “Whispering Hope”, as they revisited material from across their catalogue.
South African gospel act Reality 7 closed the night with sing-along songs, according to the report.
The anniversary programme also highlighted Firm Faith’s online performance metrics. The report states the group has more than 16,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, with “Whispering Hope” exceeding 427,000 streams.
Recent releases mentioned include albums “Munesimba” and “Muumbi Wehari” (both 2024), “Shoko Rengirozi Nhatu” (2022), and 2025/2026 singles “Tsitsi Dzenyu Ngadziuye” and “What Heaven Means to Me”.
Founding member Marshall Matsilele thanked supporters during remarks at the show, saying: “From our early days to now streaming platforms, YouTube, live stages across borders, this is all grace. We thank the church, our families, and every fan who has walked with us for 20 years.”
He described the Hippodrome event as a milestone and a starting point for the group’s next phase of ministry.
The report said Firm Faith’s music remains available on major streaming services and that official videos and live performances can be accessed through the group’s online platforms.
